🧮 Grow a Garden Pet Weight Calculator (kg)
Pick your pet, enter its current hunger fill and age (1–500), and get its exact weight (kg), size classification, ability strength and cooldown — instantly, no page reload.
⚖️ Result & Size Tier
Base: 0 kg → Max: 0 kg
💡 To calculate the Sheckle value of a mutation-stacked crop instead, use the Value Calculator. Age-based strength and cooldown are estimates calibrated to the official ~2.5× max-age figure at Age 500.
📐 Grow a Garden KG Calculator & Pet Size Tiers
Pet weight in Grow a Garden is measured in kilograms (kg) and scales dynamically with hunger fill using this official in-game formula:
Example: A Kitsune with Base Weight 2.8 kg, Max Weight 135 kg and 60% hunger fill = 2.8 + 0.60 × (135 − 2.8) = 82.1 kg. Weight in kg is driven by hunger fill, not age — while a pet's age (1–500) independently raises its ability strength and shortens its cooldown timers.
🏷️ Grow a Garden Pet Size Classifications
- Regular: 1.0× to 2.0× Base Weight (Standard hatched size)
- Huge: 2.0× to 5.0× Base Weight (Noticeable visual size increase)
- Godly: 5.0× to 10.0× Base Weight (Giant garden presence with boosted stats)
- Titanic: 10.0×+ Max Weight Cap (Endgame collector status tier)
Note: "Titanic" is a weight tier reached by heavy pets, not a distinct species.

🌱 New Pets — Beanstalk Event 2026
Four new pets were added when the Beanstalk Event 2026 went live on August 29, obtained from the event's Beanpod Egg. Full base/max weight and cooldown numbers aren't published yet — the wiki lists these as stubs with ability text and a hunger total only, so they're not yet in the searchable table or the interactive Pet Weight Calculator below. We'll add them with real numbers once the data is confirmed, rather than estimate.

Ability: Bean Support — Beanstalks within range have increased growth speed & size bonus.
Hunger: 10,000. Weight/cooldown: not yet published.
🐍 Vine Serpent Legendary

⚡ Pet Abilities Explained
Plain-English breakdown of the most-asked-about pet abilities:
What does the Silver Monkey do in Grow a Garden?
The Silver Monkey (Legendary) periodically throws a Silver Banana that guarantees the next seed you plant will have a double base weight (2x weight multiplier). This makes it excellent to pair with high-value seeds like Baobab or Bone Blossom before planting.
What does the Brown Mouse do in Grow a Garden?
The Brown Mouse (Common) periodically increases the growth speed of random crops by 5%. While its effect is small, it has one of the shortest cooldowns in the game, making it decent for early-game AFK farming.
What does the Rooster do in Grow a Garden?
The Rooster (Uncommon) applies the "Morning Dew" effect every 30 minutes. This instantly waters all thirsty plants in a small radius and prevents them from wilting for the next hour. It's effectively an early-game alternative to wilting mutations.
What does Disco Bee do?
The Disco Bee (Divine) has a chance to apply the Disco mutation (x70) to nearby fruit. If paired with the Butterfly (which upgrades mutations to Rainbow), it creates the incredibly valuable Rainbow Disco mutation.
Is Cow better than Eco Frog?
Yes, for pure crop value, the Cow (Legendary) is significantly better than the Eco Frog (Rare). The Cow applies the "Fertilized" buff to a random crop, permanently boosting its final weight by 15%, whereas the Eco Frog only reduces environmental penalties (like planting a Fall crop in Summer). Since weight is squared in the value formula, the Cow's weight boost is vastly superior.
What does Kitsune do?
Kitsune applies the Foxfire mutation (×90) to random fruits and makes nearby crops wiltproof (they never die from neglect). A max-weight Kitsune triggers Foxfire ~2× as often as a base-weight one. It's considered the highest-ROI single pet in the game.
What does Butterfly do?
Butterfly has a chance to convert existing environmental mutations on a random fruit to Rainbow (×50). You need another mutation already present — Butterfly "upgrades" it. Pair with Dragonfly (applies Gold) or Disco Bee (applies Disco) for best results.
What does Praying Mantis do?
Praying Mantis (Mythical) has a chance to remove the cooldown of another equipped pet when its ability triggers. This makes it amazing paired with high-cooldown pets like Butterfly (720 s) or Dragonfly (540 s).
What does Tanuki do?
Tanuki (Divine) is a shape-shifter — it transforms into a random nearby pet and copies that pet's ability for the duration. Effectively, a Kitsune + Tanuki team doubles Foxfire application.
What does Silver Monkey do?
Silver Monkey (Legendary) throws bananas at random fruit, granting a Gold mutation chance. It's the F2P-friendly Gold farmer — no Robux required. Feed it bananas to level faster.
What does Dragonfly do?
Dragonfly (Divine) has a chance to apply the Gold mutation (×20) to random fruit. Lower ceiling than Butterfly but works on fruits without existing mutations — it's a "generator", Butterfly is an "upgrader".
What does Lobster Thermidor do?
Lobster Thermidor (Divine) has two passives: Molten Boiling Point (~20%+ chance to apply Molten) and Meteoric Boiling Point (~10%+ chance to apply Meteoric). A time-limited pet from the Kitchen Storm update — not the same as the plain "Lobster" once listed here with a made-up ability.
What does Tanuki do?
Tanuki (Legendary) triggers "Mischief" roughly every 10 minutes — a random bonus of a Chilled/Choc/Moonlit mutation, bonus XP, another pet's cooldown advancing 60s, or 300-1,000 Sheckles. It does not transform into or copy another pet.
✨ Correcting Some Long-Standing Pet Errors
- "Titanic" isn't a pet — it's a weight tier, removed from this page and the calculator.
- "Wolf Spider" doesn't exist — the real pets are separate "Wolf" (Moonlit mutation + werewolf transform) and "Spider" (web boosts cooldowns/growth), never combined. Removed.
- Praying Mantis boosts variant chance on growing crops — it does not remove another pet's cooldown.
- Lobster is really "Lobster Thermidor" (Divine, Molten/Meteoric) — not a Mythical "Cooked" pet.

❓ Pets FAQ
How many pets can I equip at once?
You start with 3 pet slots. Upgrade up to 8 slots via in-shop purchases (50K → 2M₡ each), the Gamepass (499 Robux), or reaching Player Level 50 for a free bonus slot.
How do I increase my pet's weight?
Weight scales with hunger filled: Current Weight = Base Weight + (Hunger ÷ Max Hunger) × (Max Weight − Base Weight). Keep the hunger bar full — match food type (bees eat honey, foxes eat meat) for bonus XP.
Can I sell my pets in Grow a Garden?
No, pets can only be traded player-to-player (see our selling pets guide). Use our Trade Calculator to verify fair trades.
What's the rarest pet?
Kitsune (Prismatic) — the only Prismatic-tier pet in the game, with a 0.08% hatch chance from the Zen Egg.
Do pet abilities stack?
Yes — each pet's ability triggers independently. Running Butterfly + Disco Bee + Kitsune means you get Rainbow conversion + Disco + Foxfire all on the same plot.
